Format Quicktime files for Embedded Streaming - Part 1

1. Open the original .mov file with Quicktime Pro.
     * I used version 6.3 pro, but any professional version should work.

2. File --> Export

3. Pick a new filename for the web version of the video.
     * Remove tilde (~) from filename.
     * Change .MOV to .mov.
     * Use all lowercase letters for the new filename.

4. Select "Movie to QuickTime Movie" in "Export" and click "Options." This brings up the "Movie Settings" window.

5. Under "Video," click "Settings." This brings up the "Compression Settings" window.

6. Change Compression Settings to the following:
     * In the drop-down menu, select "MPEG-4 Video."
     * Quality = "Best"
     * "Frames per second" = 15
     * "Key frame every" = 75
     * "Limit data rate to" = 28.8

7. Click "OK" to close the video "Compression Settings" window.

8. Under "Sound," click "Settings." This brings up the "Sound Settings" window.

9. Change Sound Settings to the following:
     * Compressor = "MPEG-4 Video."
     * "Rate" = 32.000 kHz
     * Size = 16 bit
     * Use = Stereo

10.  Click "Options" on the "Sound Settings" window. This brings up the "MPEG-4 Audio Compressor" window.
